Welcome to the very first Heylen Custom 3D Printing blog post!

We’re Ben and Amy, the Belgian-American couple behind the printers, product photos, new ideas, late-night projects, questionable experiments, and the occasional “Why is it doing that?” moment. 😂

Heylen Custom 3D Printing started from our shared love of creating things and seeing an idea turn into something real. Ben is the technical one. He enjoys figuring out how things work, solving problems, adjusting designs, and somehow staring at the printer like that will make it finish faster. Amy is usually the one coming up with product ideas, choosing colors, styling the photos, working on the website, and asking Ben if he can make something she has just seen online.

Sometimes the answer is yes.

Sometimes the answer is, “Do you know how long that will take to print?”

And sometimes we make it anyway.

Our products range from modern home décor and organizers to pet products, seasonal pieces, personalized items, and custom requests. We love creating things that are useful, different, and made with a little more personality than something you would find in a regular store.

Of course, not everything goes perfectly. Some prints fail. Some supports are a complete pain to remove. Some ideas look much better in our heads than they do in real life. And sometimes Ben makes strange noises, starts speaking in a random voice, or turns a normal evening of working on orders into a full comedy show.

That is pretty much the reality behind the finished products you see online.

Through this blog, we’ll share new products, custom projects, works in progress, helpful tips, behind-the-scenes moments, and the funny everyday chaos that comes with building a small business together.

We’re still learning, creating, and growing as we go, and we’re excited to take you along with us.
